Laura is a Birmingham native who operates by the motto: “see a need, fill a need.” The love Laura has for her home state of Alabama coupled with her passion for accessibility in the mental health field has led to the creation of Healing Alabama and embodying the mission of cultivating mental welfare for all Alabamians. She holds degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Northwestern University with a professional focus on trauma informed care. Laura is driven by the values of inclusivity, spotlighting art, and building community.In her spare time Laura finds enjoyment in reading, connecting over a good meal, and time outside with her dog.Contact Laura:

Meredith Bower Donaldson

Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Meredith now calls North Alabama home. Meredith earned her BS in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, and is now the Director of the McDowell Environmental Center at Camp McDowell. With a career in Environmental Education and Leadership Training, Meredith has a passion for connecting with people, creating community, and giving folks confidence to grow. She is thrilled to be a part of Healing Alabama’s journey and is particularly drawn to Laura’s vision of creating community and challenging stigmas related to Mental Health. In her free time, Meredith loves to take long walks with her dog, Maple, try new recipes in the kitchen, mountain bike, and quilt!Contact Meredith:

Elizabeth Harbin, LPC

Liz is a dedicated advocate for mental health accessibility and professional development for helping professionals. As a passionate member of Healing Alabama, Liz believes in the transformative power of mental health services. This drives her commitment and dedication to ensuring that quality mental health counseling is available to everyone. Liz holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University. Outside of her professional life, Liz finds joy and inspiration in exploring the great outdoors. Whether she's hiking through scenic trails or simply enjoying the natural beauty of her surroundings, her love for nature provides a balanced and rejuvenating contrast to her dedicated work in mental health.Contact Elizabeth:

Aubrey was born and raised in Utah. She holds degrees from Utah State University and Northwestern University. Aubrey builds connections with others through playful interactions and humor.
